Gundungurra community consultation on Warragamba Dam raising
Wollondilly and Blue Mountains Councils are facilitating Gundungurra leaders to come together to consult and inform the community about the recently released Cultural Assessment on the Warragamba Dam wall raising. It will be held at the Faulconbridge Community Centre from 6:30pm on the 16th of August.
Gundungurra leaders want to inform and consult the community about the destructive impacts the raising of the dam would have on the rich dream time stories of the Blue Mountains and Wollondilly areas. This event has proven necessary given the lack of consultation the NSW Government, its departments and contractors have undertaken with the public to date on the matter. This evening aims to bring some transparency to the process.
